Refund Policy

Last updated 2026-08-31 · Available in English only for now

This policy explains when we return money, and how. It covers purchases made from the FlowMic hosted service at flowmic.app.

It does not cover the FlowMic software itself. The apps are open source under the AGPL-3.0 and cost nothing, so there is nothing there to refund.

1. Your legal rights come first

Nothing on this page reduces the rights the law gives you. If something was not as described, was never delivered, or does not work, you keep every remedy the law gives you — however long ago you bought it — and we will put it right or refund you.

Where you live may give you more than this page promises. Where it does, the law wins, not this page.

2. Cloud subscriptions

Withdrawing, within 14 days

You have 14 days from the start of the contract to withdraw from it, without giving a reason.

You do this yourself, in the console, using the control labelled "Withdraw from contract here". It is available for the whole fourteen days and is never hidden behind a menu. Your subscription ends immediately, we request a refund of your payment, and we email you confirmation of the date we received it. Nothing you have created is deleted, and FlowMic keeps working on your own network.

We offer this to everyone. Some countries require it and some do not; we did not make it depend on where you live.

Cancelling is a different thing, on purpose

Cancelling stops the subscription from renewing and lets you keep the time you have already paid for. It takes effect at the end of the period you paid for, and it does not return money.

Withdrawing ends the contract now and returns the payment.

We keep them as two separate controls because one button for both would make whichever sentence we wrote false half the time — and the half it was false for is the half where somebody loses either their remaining month or their refund.

A cancellation that has not taken effect yet can be undone from the console; the subscription simply carries on.

After the 14 days

The withdrawal period ends, but you can still write to us and ask. Section 1 still applies in full, with no time limit.

3. One-off purchases

We do not currently sell anything that is not a subscription. If that changes, the terms for it will be set out here before it goes on sale, not after.

4. How a refund reaches you

Refunds are issued through our payment provider and go back to the payment method you used. They normally take a few working days to appear on your statement. If the payment channel cannot return the money that way, we will contact you and arrange another way.

If we cannot submit a refund automatically, we record it and complete it by hand. You do not need to do anything, and the fact that we owe it does not depend on our system having succeeded at anything.
