Let visitors speak into your website's text boxes
Add voice input with one line of code. Visitors speak with their computer mic or scan to speak on their phone, need no account, and install nothing.
Try it live: click the microphone in the box below and speak.
Two ways for visitors to speak
The visitor clicks the icon and allows microphone access for your site. No account or sign-in needed.
The visitor scans a QR code with their phone camera and speaks on the phone. Words appear in the box on the computer.
Three steps to add it
- Create a site key in the consoleSign in to the FlowMic console and open Website voice input. The key is a public identifier placed directly in your page.
- List your allowed website addressesAdd each exact address, such as https://example.com. Wildcards are not accepted. You can also allow a local development address for testing.
- Paste one line of codeBy default, words land in whichever text box the visitor clicked last. You can also specify exact boxes. See the developer guide for options.
Paste this snippet into your HTML, replacing the placeholder key with your own:
<script src="https://flowmic.app/go/integrator/v1.js" data-publishable-key="fmpk_your_key_here" data-target="focus"></script>What visitors see
A compact microphone icon sits beside the active text box. Clicking it opens a small panel anchored next to the field, without disrupting your page layout or covering the text being filled.
Usage and billing
Time spent speaking by visitors is deducted from your monthly transcription minutes. Visitors are never charged and never asked to pay.
You can set a cycle limit for each key so one site cannot use up your whole account. When the limit is reached, visitors are told voice input is temporarily unavailable.
We recommend the Max plan for websites, as visitors draw from a single shared pool of minutes. Details are on our Pricing
Current boundaries
Works with standard text inputs and textareas. Rich-text editors are not supported yet. Text fields inside another site's frame cannot be reached, and password fields are never filled.
Visitor privacy
Audio spoken by visitors is transcribed by FlowMic and handled strictly under our Privacy Policy. We recommend mentioning this voice input capability in your site's own privacy notice.
