Click the box, hold, speak

Once the phone and the computer are connected, this is the everyday sequence: click the box you want to fill, hold the button on the phone, speak, and let go. If speech will not start, type in the box and send instead; on the same local network, check that recognition is set up.

  1. On the computer, click where you want to type (Notepad, a chat box, a document, a code comment).
  2. A small window appears at the edge of the screen and shows the current target — for example “Notepad”.
  3. The large button at the bottom of the phone is Hold to talk. Hold to start, release to finish.
  4. While you speak, the small window on the PC shows the words. After you release, the final text is typed into that box.

You still press Enter. FlowMic only delivers words to the caret — it does not tap Send for you. Words cannot enter the lock screen or a password field.
